D'ADDARIO HELICORE CELLO STRING SET HELICORE NECK 1/8 TENSION MEDIUM

A modern benchmark designed for consistency and reliability

The Helicore series has established itself as a reliable choice for musicians seeking a homogeneous and consistent string set for daily use. With a design focused on stability and precision, this set aims to provide a dependable playing experience, featuring a clear response and practical tuning retention for rehearsals, lessons, and performances. In this 1/8 size version, D'Addario retains the core qualities of the range while adapting to the constraints of a smaller instrument.

For whom and in which styles?

This D'Addario Helicore 1/8 Medium string set is particularly suitable for students and young cellists (or musicians playing on a 1/8 cello) who need immediate response and a comfortable feel. Its versatility makes it a relevant choice for classical, orchestral, chamber music, and regular technical practice, while remaining comfortable on a variety of instruments and playing approaches.

Tone

With its multi-filament steel core, this Helicore set emphasizes clear projection, precise attack, and quick bow response, aided by a smaller diameter that facilitates vibration. The result is a tone that is both clear and warm, appreciated for its clarity and stability, especially during extended practice sessions or rehearsals. The Medium tension helps maintain a good balance between flexibility, control, and tuning stability.
